The projects below have been funded by MDA to provide free spay and neuter services for free-roaming, unowned/feral cats in Maryland. The surgeries may also include a free rabies vaccine. All projects have limited funding. Projects may cover specific areas or zip codes within the listed counties.
This grant program does not provide funding directly to individuals. Check the list below to see if there is an active MDA-funded project in your area, and contact the organization listed for more information and to verify if you qualify.
If there is no active project covering your area, we encourage you to contact your local animal shelter(s) and/or non-profit animal welfare organizations who may know of low cost surgery options or other programs in your area that you may qualify for; and urge them to submit a grant application during our next call for proposals!

The program is not taxpayer-funded.
